Network adapters after reinstall XP and drivers?

After reinstalling XP, I tried to install the drivers from the original drivers CD . . . the only one I have trouble with is the Network drivers . . . the instructions send me to Device Mgr to locate "Network Adapters" on the list - - it's not there.

So instead, I went to the "drivers" folder that was created, found the Network subfolder, then the XP folder, and opened the Setup exe file. A window pops up immediately that says that "network drivers were successfully installed" but it didn't run through any setup processes (that I could see, anyway), yet it still does not detect the presence of a network/internet connection.

The cables are all connected properly (it worked prior to the reinstall) but it still doesn't detect the network. Help?

Network adapters after reinstall XP and drivers?
1.shutdown the system for a while and open ur pc remove the network card and replace it, switch on the pc. if windows could not detect, buy one new NC and try again

2.if your motherboard is buildin motherboard, click Add Hardware in the control pannel and follow the instruction (use automattic detecting hardware and also try manual ) it might be find NC. if not, buy new network adaptor and try

try it now

best of luck
