Network hard drive backup?

Is there a way to backup a whole hard drive over a local area network connection (a wired network)

Even if the network hard drive has windows installed and running on it.

I know casper xp lets you copy one hard drive to another while windows is running but could this be done over a network?

Network hard drive backup?
What it sounds like you want to do is backup a computer attacxhed to your network to a hard drive belonging to another computer on your network.

Yes this can be done but the hard drive you want to backup to need to be shared and accessable to the other computer.

You just have to use the network path of the destination hard drive in the software you want to use, and the software needs to support networking backup also.
