Wireless network?

hi, is there a way to convert a existing wired network card into a wireless card because i want to do wireless networking but cant afford a wireless card for the laptop and desktop computer yet, so im wondering what i can do to convert a existing pci network card into a wireless card and convert a network socket into a wireless card.

also can someone please provide a circuit diagram of a wireless network card so i can build a usb wireless card to plug into my laptop because mine doesnt have one and i want wireless networking.

Wireless network?
You can't do this yourself.

Wifi is all integrated in components that you probably can't get; these components need only a few external items (resistors, capacitors, antenna) to work. All the hard work is done in one IC.

A wireless card is NOT simply a wired card with an antenna. It is much more complex.

Fortunately there is good news as well. A simple USB wifi stick can be found for as little as $20 - sometimes less.

You will need an access point, by the way - only one computer with a Wifi card has nothing to connect to.
