Ok, I got a router, a wifi card for my desktop and my laptop has one built in. Now, why cant I see my desktop on my network? Not even on its own screen! I can see my laptop on both computers, but not my desktop. workgroup names are the same, network keys are the same. When I added my laptop to the network via memory stick, it told me the transfer and connection the network was successful and even showed both computer names on the verification list. Why is my desktop computer not showing up on my network? It says its connected!

Windows XP firewall is turned on.
Reply:either you have ur firewall up on the desktop, or you don't have any folder shared.
Reply:in control panel, try the wifi connection wizard. thats how i did it
Reply:you probably dont have file and print sharing turned on on the desktop
